Farewell Padre Leandro

Padre Leandro Fazolini

Padre Leandro Fazolini has recently been informed by Archbishop Lori that he is being called to serve in the communities of Saint John, Westminster and Sacred Heart in Glyndon. Padre Leandro will be with us until the end of June 2021.

We thank him for his ministry and wish him all the best in his new community.

Please plan to join us at our Masses of Thanksgiving the last weekend in June 2021, so we can celebrate Padre Leandro’s 10 years with us and give thanks to God for Padre’s life giving and loving service.

Farewell Masses

This upcoming weekend (June 26-27, 2021), we will be offering gratitude and bidding farewell to Padre Leandro Fazolini before he departs. These opportunities will include:

  • Saturday June 26 – WL room 1 at 6:30 pm Spanish
  • Sunday June 27 – WL Room 1 at 8:00 am English (there will be no 8:00 am Spanish Mass this Sunday)
  • The 10:00 am Mass will be in WL room 1 in English
  • The 12:15 pm Mass will be Spanish, but in WL room 1 for more space (the 12.15 pm Mass in English will be in WL room 4; this one will not be farewell)
  • Weather permitting, there will be an outside bilingual Mass on Sunday June 27th at 5:00 pm

A big “Thank You” to all who who helped to celebrate Padre Leandro as he moves towards his new assignment. Your prayer, expressed appreciation, and generous attitude exemplified the spirit of our faith community.

Prayer

In thanksgiving for the many years of Padre Leandro’s service, as well as for all the priests who have ministered within our community, we pray:

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.

Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen.
