PATH (People Acting Together in Howard) is hard at work on setting up a listening effort at St. John. We are calling it “Listening for Community and Action” – and we are hoping to learn more about where people experience belonging at the parish, and what social issues are most impacting their families these days. We willl listen to 175 people and share that information with the parish staff, pastoral council and the parish as a whole.
Recently, PATH (People Acting Together in Howard) and similar regional organizations collaborating as the Maryland Just Power Alliance gathered to publicly launch our listening campaign! They are committed to listening to over 3,500 people over the next 3 months! We had meaningful listening sessions with people from across the state and candidates and elected officials joining in to listen. Please join in such listening sessions.

> Oct 18 after the Saturday English Mass and after the Saturday Spanish Mass;
> Oct 19 after the 8am English Mass and at 11am-12noon before the Spanish Mass.
> In Oakland Mills, the PATH Listening Session is Oct 19 after the 11:30am Mass.
> On Oct 26, the Spanish session is after the 8am Spanish Mass .
> On Oct 26, the English session is after the 10am Mass.
