Father Mel last week discussed Small Church Communities his homily. “I’ve heard from one of our small church communities who gather regularly for prayer and reflection that they break open the word and then they pray for migrants. Another small group would read and study the social teachings of the church. And there they hear the word, the voice of the good shepherd”
All current, former and prospective members of small Church communities will receive a special blessing on Trinity Sunday, May 30 –31 at all the masses.
There will be as special gathering after the 12:15pm Mass to reconnect, reflect on the blessings of our small faith communities, and help envision how our parish can promote and support SCCs in the future. Refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!
El padre Mel habló la semana pasada en su homilía sobre las pequeñas comunidades eclesiales. «Me ha contado una de nuestras pequeñas comunidades eclesiales, que se reúne regularmente para orar y reflexionar, que analizan la Palabra y luego rezan por los migrantes. Otro pequeño grupo lee y estudia la doctrina social de la Iglesia. Y allí escuchan la Palabra, la voz del buen pastor».
Todos los miembros actuales, antiguos y futuros de las pequeñas comunidades eclesiales recibirán una bendición especial el Domingo de la Trinidad, 30-31 de mayo, en todas las misas.
Habrá una reunión especial después de la misa de las 12:15 p. m. para reencontrarnos, reflexionar sobre las bendiciones de nuestras pequeñas comunidades de fe y ayudar a imaginar cómo nuestra parroquia puede promover y apoyar a las SCC en el futuro. Se ofrecerán refrescos. ¡Esperamos veros allí!
